Front Page Extension is used to upload files from Front Page directly, it does not mean that if server does not have Front Page Extension then web site designed in Front Page will not work. Some time people create forms in front page so front page generates ASP code for the form and uploads the ASP Code. This code does not work on Linux server. Since, ASP is not supported in Linux so the code does not work and not because of Front Page Extension.
